SPRING 2026: Purposeful Play Tinkergarten at FAST
A nature-based learning adventure for kids!

Purposeful Play Tinkergarten is a weekly outdoor program where children explore, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences in nature.

Each session builds essential life skills like:

🧠 Problem-solving
🤝 Teamwork
🎨 Creativity

Kids who participate get the physical and mental benefits of increased time outdoors and build a lasting connection to nature. They also develop a strong foundation in essential skills that kids need to become creative, caring, and confident people who thrive in a dynamic world.

This semester, our classes will focus on PERSISTENCE & CREATIVITY.

Our winter lessons help kids learn about persistence— the ability to stick with something, meet challenges, and push ahead to either reach their goals, learn, and grow. Each lesson is inspired by a different, persistent animal superhero.

When the weather warms, we will shift our focus to creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and make them happen. We’ll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies that they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and nurture relationships. And, we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!

Location: Fulton Academy of Science and Technology

Classes take place outside (inside for bad weather)

Students: Kindergarten - 3rd Grade

Dates: Wednesdays, January 14 - April 29 (no class 4/8)

Time: 3:45-4:45pm

Cost: $285 for the semester; 20% sibling discount. Drop-in classes available.

Step 4: Waiver & Class Policies & Payment
Cancellation Policy

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Refunds will be given, minus a $20 processing fee, up to one week before the program begins. Alternatively, a credit can be issued for the full amount of the program and be used toward a future program within one year.

No refunds will be issued for cancellation less than one week before the start of the program, early withdrawal, scheduling conflicts, illness, or behavioral dismissal. No refunds will be issued in the event the school cancels school or after-school activities due to weather or other circumstances – the missed class will be rescheduled or a credit will be issued. Refunds will NOT be provided without one week prior notice or for no-shows.

We like to use pictures of the kids in action with the materials and activities as a way to document the play and learning that happens in class and share it with the community on our social media.
