Your Voice Shapes the Membership Code: Policy Feedback Form

Automatic Entitlement
Who should automatically be given Sipekne’katik membership? Everyone who has it now plus who else, if anyone?*
Application Criteria
Who else should be able to ask/apply for membership? i.e., minimum criteria such as have status, have connections to the community, be Mi’kmaw, etc.*
Final Decision Maker
If it’s not clear whether someone should be given membership, who should be the final decision maker? e.g., an independent board of existing members, Chief+Council, Registrar, community vote, 500 signatures, etc.
Revocation of Membership
Should membership (not status) ever be allowed to be taken away? If so, when and why? Who decides?*
