  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

    1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the DFO Cairns “Snap & Win a Share of $1,000 Gift Cards” Promotion (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The Promoter is DFO Cairns, operated by Sentinel Property Group. 

     
     
    ELIGIBILITY 

    1. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Entrants under 18 must have parent/guardian approval, and the parent/guardian must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. 
    2. The following persons are ineligible to enter: 
      • Employees of the Promoter, 
      • Employees or contractors of any retailer within DFO Cairns, 
      • Immediate family members of the above, 
      • Any person previously notified by the Promoter as ineligible to enter its promotions. 

     

    PROMOTION PERIOD 

    1. The Promotion opens on 5 December 2025 and closes at 11:59 PM on 21 December 2025.
    2. The Christmas Wonderland Photo Room is open on: 

    5–7 December, 12–14 December, and 19–21 December 
    11:00am – 1:00pm daily 
    Located next to Oakley. 
     

    HOW TO ENTER 

    1. To enter, eligible participants must, during the Promotion Period: 
      1. Visit the DFO Cairns Christmas Wonderland Set. 
      2. Bring their own device and take a Christmas-themed photo at the set. 
      3. Post the photo as a public post on Facebook or Instagram. 
      4. Tag @dfocairns. 
      5. Include the hashtag #DFOCairnsXmasWonderland. 
    2. Entrants must ensure: 
      1. Their post is public at the time of judging. 
      2. The tag and hashtag are included correctly.
      3. The photo features the DFO Cairns Christmas Wonderland Set. 

     
     
    INVALID ENTRIES 

    1. The following entries will be considered invalid: 
      • Story posts (Stories are not eligible) 
      • Posts without tagging @dfocairns 
      • Posts without #DFOCairnsXmasWonderland 
      • Photos not taken at the Wonderland Set 
      • Posts uploaded before 5 December 2025 or after 11:59 PM on 21 December 2025 
         

    LIMITS ON ENTRY 

    1. Multiple entries are permitted; however: 
      • Only one (1) entry per unique photo 
      • Each entry must comply with all entry requirements 
         

    WINNER SELECTION 

    1. This Promotion is a game of skill based on engagement. The Top 2 entries with the highest number of likes (engagement) at the close of the Promotion Period will be selected as the winners. 
    2. Winners will be announced on 22 December 2025 via: 
      • DFO Cairns Facebook 
      • DFO Cairns Instagram 
      • Direct message to the social account used to enter 
    3. Entrants must enter using their own social media account. Proof of identity or account ownership may be required. 
       

    PRIZES 

    1. There are two (2) winners in total. 
    2. Each winner will receive: 
      • 1× DFO Cairns Gift Card valued at $500 
        (Total prize pool: $1,000) 
    3. Prizes must be collected from DFO Cairns Centre Management between 22 December 2025 and 31 January 2026, unless otherwise arranged. 
    4. Prizes are not transferable, refundable or exchangeable for cash.
    5. Any ancillary costs associated with the use of the gift card are not included. 

     

    CONTENT & USAGE 

    1. Entrants warrant that: 
      • Their submitted content is original and lawful 
      • All persons appearing in the photo have provided consent 
      • The content does not infringe any third-party rights 
    2. By entering, participants grant the Promoter a royalty-free, perpetual licence to use their entry for marketing and promotional purposes. 
       
       

    GENERAL CONDITIONS 

    1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions. 
    2. Incomplete, unclear, or non-compliant entries will be deemed invalid. 
    3. If the Promotion cannot run as planned due to technical or other issues, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion. 
    4. Except where liability cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury arising from participation or prize acceptance. 
    5. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Instagram. 
       

    PRIVACY 

    1. Personal information collected will be used solely for the purposes of conducting the Promotion and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.
