Salamanca Arts Centre

Salamanca Arts Centre (SAC) is currently seeking applications for inclusion in the Founders Room 2026 calendar.

Salamanca Arts Centre assesses applications for the Founders Room twice annually, with application rounds occurring in April and September each year. Other Special Rounds may be available pending date availabilty. 

This Application Round is for REMAINING DATES ONLY.
Many months in the 2026 Calendar were filled by successful applicants during the April & September 2025 Application Rounds.

The Founders Room is Salamanca Arts Centre's primary events and function space and can accomodate a variety of events including, but not limited to: performances, concerts, workshops, film events, Corporate Events, live music events, workshops, seminars, rehearsals, Creative Developments and Private Functions* (including weddings, parties, dinners, balls)

Lift Upgrades in 2026 

Applicants are advised that upgrades to the Lift (located in the Courtyard) are scheduled for sometime in 2026. We have requested that NRE, the State Department who is managing the new Lift Tender and Replacement process, schedule the proposed works from mid July until September 2026. To date we are yet to receive any confirmation from NRE as to the timing of the Lift Replacement Works. Once the Replacement Works commence, these will impact the Courtyard and the Venues adjacent to the Courtyard. The works will be noisy (at times), and there will be no Lift Access to Levels 1 or 2 within the Arts Centre.
Please consider these impacts if you are planning an exhibition / event from mid July - end of September 2026, but also keep in contact with us about updates regarding the proposed works.

Applications are sought from Arts Organisations and solo artists for performances, concerts, workshops, film events, corporate events and rehearsals /creative developments.

DEADLINE for SUBMISSIONS:
This is a rolling application round - applications will be assessed as they are received.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome after February 12th 2026.

From January 2026, the type of event / usage / activation of the Founders Room is determined by the following weekly calendar:

Sundays – Wednesday
Available for Non-Public activities, including Meetings, Rehearsals & Creative Developments.

Thursday – Saturday
Public Activities / Events / Performances.
Includes Public Performances from SAC’s Live Music Program and Performing Arts Program

Notes on Sundays
Venue CLOSED for Single Day Hire, but may available as part of a Multi-Day or Weekly Hire.
Special exemptions may be made for events by special / written request or for Private Functions (requiring a 3 x Day Hire Period).

NOTE: Bump In / Bump Out days are INCLUDED in your Hire Period. Please account for this time when you request the ammount of days for your Hire Period.

- You have date flexibilty and would consider various dates;
- If you are applying for a Hire Period of more than 1 x Day (e.g. consecutive Days / Private Function 3 x Day hire Period);
