WOSHC Swim Days ~ Vacation Care ~ Prep - Year 6 in 2026

Dear Parents/Carers,

To inform WOSHC of your child's swimming ability for the upcoming Summer Vacation Care swim days, please complete the 'WOSHC Swim Days' form PER CHILD, AT THE TIME OF BOOKING (if booking on the relevant swim day).

This is NOT a formal swimming lesson, however we require this information to best support your child in the pool.

We will always have a qualified lifeguard present along with reduced educator ratios within the pool area during swim times.

The shallow end of the pool is 0.85 - 1.5m. For safety measures, age groups will be restricted to the following sections of the pool. Please see below details relating to the grades your child will be in during 2026:

Prep	Shallow end to the first set of flags
Year 1	Shallow end to the first set of flags
Year 2	Shallow end to the middle of the pool
Year 3	Shallow end to the middle of the pool
Year 4	Whole pool
Year 5	Whole pool
Year 6	Whole pool

Note: This is only a guide for safety measures. There will be flexibility for more confident swimmers. If your child has a limited swimming ability, they may be required to remain in a shallower section of the pool.

An individual WOSHC Swim Day 'ability form' must be completed for each child participating in the swimming sessions
What to bring on Swim Days

The following list of items are required for Swim Days, and align with Wishart State School swimming quidelines.

Swimming Cap. NO SWIM CAP = NO SWIMMING

Swimmers. Must have sun-smart swimwear such as a rash shirt, SPF sun shirt, long sleeved swimwear etc.

Spare Dry Clothes

Towel

Easy slip-on shoes/thongs for walking to and from pool only

Swim Bag/Plast Bag to put swim items in

Please Note: Children can bring goggles if they need to use them in the pool
