1) Permission (License)
I grant Mostly Sane Media, LLC (“Publisher”) a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, crop, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, publicly display, and promote the submitted photographs, stories, and/or other materials (“Materials”) in all media now known or later developed (including print, web, social media, email, and promotional uses). This license includes the right to sublicense the Materials to service providers (e.g., printers, hosts, content platforms) solely to enable the uses above. I retain ownership and may use my Materials elsewhere.
2) Edits, Credit, and No Payment
Publisher may edit for length, clarity, style, formatting, and layout. Credit will be given where feasible, but is not guaranteed in every placement. I understand no monetary compensation is due.
3) Name, Likeness, and Biographical Info
I permit Publisher to use my name, and—if included in my submission—my likeness and brief biographical information in connection with publishing and promoting the Materials. I waive any right to inspect/approve final uses.
4) Ownership & Warranties
I represent and warrant that:
I own the Materials or have all rights needed to grant this license.
The Materials do not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
If any identifiable person appears, I have obtained their consent (or I’ll provide a model release).
The Materials do not contain confidential or unlawful content.
5) Indemnification
I will defend and indemnify Publisher and its affiliates against claims, losses, or expenses arising from breach of my warranties or from my submission.
6) Minors
If the contributor or any featured person is under 18, a parent/guardian must consent and sign. Parent/guardian grants the same rights above on the minor’s behalf.
7) No Revocation; Data Handling
This permission is not revocable once the Materials are published. Publisher may store and archive submissions (including metadata/contact info) per its Privacy Policy.
8) Acceptance & E-Signature
I agree that checking a box and providing an electronic signature constitutes my legal signature.
Date will be recorded upon submission.
