The Salute To Our Young Heroes program is created for for the following reasons:
- To instill the need to excel academically and provide tools that enable young men to sharpen and enhance their skills to achieve high levels of academic success
- To foster friendships and bonding among participants that support, challenge and assist in navigating the pressures of young adulthood
- To assist the young men in proper goal setting, life skills, and planning for their futures
- To create compassionate, caring, and community- minded young men and actively involve them in service advocacy and community service opportunities
