Booking & Deposit Policy
Thank you for choosing to book your tattoo experience with me. To provide every client with dedicated design time, personalized service, and an organized scheduling process, the following booking policies apply.
Booking Confirmation
After your tattoo request has been reviewed, you will receive an EMAIL with available appointment options.
Your appointment is not reserved until your deposit has been paid.
Once you receive your scheduling email, you must call Mad Ethel's Tattoo & Body Piercing at (919) 900-8345 to pay your deposit and secure your appointment.
Deposits must be paid within 24 hours of receiving your scheduling email. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, the appointment will be released and may be offered to another client.
Deposit
A $100–$300 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your appointment. The exact amount is determined by the size, detail, and scope of your tattoo.
All deposits are applied toward the final cost of your tattoo and may only be used by the original client for the original tattoo project. Deposits cannot be transferred to another person, another tattoo concept, or exchanged for shop credit.
Deposit Validity
Deposits remain valid for 90 days from the original appointment date.
Your tattoo appointment must take place within this 90-day period. If your appointment is not completed within that timeframe, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to continue the booking process.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to reschedule an appointment.
One reschedule is permitted with proper notice.
The new appointment must still fall within the original 90-day deposit validity period.
Requests to reschedule beyond the 90-day window require a new deposit.
Appointments rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice will forfeit the deposit.
No-call/no-shows automatically forfeit the deposit.
If a deposit is forfeited, a new deposit is required before another appointment can be scheduled.
Late Arrivals
A 15-minute grace period is provided.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule depending on the day's schedule. If the appointment cannot be accommodated, it will be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit may be forfeited.
Design Process
Every tattoo is custom designed specifically for each client.
Your tattoo design will be reviewed together during your appointment. Designs are not sent out prior to the appointment.
Minor adjustments can typically be made during your appointment. Significant changes to the original concept, size, placement, or style after booking may require an additional deposit and may require rescheduling to allow for additional design time.
Studio Policy
To help maintain a safe and comfortable working environment:
Only one support person may accompany you to your appointment.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the tattoo area at any time.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all tattoo appointments.
Large & Multi-Session Projects
Larger tattoos requiring multiple sessions may require additional deposits to reserve future appointments.
