Order of Speakers: Please confirm the speaking order, including who will open the ceremony, who will raise the flag, and when the Mayor (or Deputy Mayor/Councillor) will speak.
Land Acknowledgement: All municipal events begin with our formal land acknowledgement. For your event, please indicate who will provide the acknowledgement or if a municipal representative (Mayor or Councillor) will be requested to do so.*

Flag Protocol: As per the Municipality’s Flag Policy, the flag will be flown on the main municipal flagpole for one day only, after which it will be moved to the courtesy pole for the remainder of the recognition period (if applicable). Please indicate the duration (in days) you are requesting the flag to be displayed on the courtesy pole.

Duration, Site, & Traffic Logistics: What is your anticipated timeline? (note that most flag raisings are approximately 30 minutes) The semicircular driveway will be blocked to traffic from approximately 15 minutes prior to and 15 minutes after the ceremony. For larger groups, additional space may be required - please let us know if that will be necessary.
Additional Notes: Are there any special considerations or requests for the event (e.g., will you be including music, readings, group photos, are there accessibility needs, etc.)? If you would like to extend your event with a reception, etc., in the municipal suites, please contact facilities at eventbookings@northgrenville.on.ca
