We want to provide each student with the best personal learning opportunity possible. Often, the students will have a close and sometimes “hands-on” involvement in the activities about which they are learning. These activities include being around machines and utensils used in meat processing plants, farms, and feed manufacturing. After many years of sponsoring educational events and minimizing the risk associated with these activities, we have had no accidents or injuries to students or chaperons during our camps. However, you need to be aware that the risk of accidents or injuries does exist. We will have skilled and trained professionals working with us in all of these activities. We will work to reduce the possibility of accidents as much as possible and still maintain a personal learning experience for the students. In addition, we will be participating in recreational activities such as: color runs, relay events, and other activities. The students will be with the chaperons and the other participants, and will be allowed to participate in the normal and usual activities during the recreational period. However, you need to beaware that the risk of accidents or injuries does exist. We ask that you review this information and the retreat schedule of activities before you sign the form below. If you have any questions, please contact Riley Reep at 806.705.6800.
