Advised Client the importance of decreasing the use of naracotics( tramadol, percocet). Surgeon would prefer to rotate these med with an OTC pain management , discussed risk of narcotic : constipation , nausea, etc.

Advised client to continue to hydrate, importance of proper hydration discussed, and nutrition: consume foods high in protein. DO NOT limit foods to only soups and smoothies, consume full meals watch sodium intake, remind that sodium may cause swelling

Incentive Spirometer Education - Demonstrate use of Incentive Spirometer
