Attendance Expectations
• Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes for the month.
• If your child will be absent, please notify us as soon as possible.
• Missed classes do not roll over, except in cases where the instructor cancels.

Instructor Cancellations
If Hearts & Hands cancels a class, we will offer:
• A rescheduled class or
• A class credit for that session

Sick Policy
To keep our learning center healthy and safe:
• Students may not attend in‑person classes if they are sick or have been sick within the last 24 hours.
• This includes: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, congestion, persistent cough, sore throat, or any contagious symptoms.
• If a child arrives sick, they will be sent home.

Parent Cancellations
• If a student misses a class for any reason (illness, travel, schedule conflict), the class is forfeited.
• Make‑ups are not guaranteed unless offered by the instructor.

Class Cancellations by Hearts & Hands
• If we cancel a class, families will receive:
• A rescheduled class or
• A credit for that session
(Credits apply only to pre‑paid or charter‑funded families.)

Yearly Tuition Families
• Yearly tuition is non‑refundable once your child takes a class.
• Missed classes do not reduce tuition.
• No credits are issued for student absences.

Pre‑Paid & Charter Families
• Pre‑paid classes create class credits.
• Unused pre‑paid credits roll over to the next month.
• Credits are only created through pre‑payment (including charter vouchers).
• Classes attended without pre‑payment do not reduce credits.
• Once all credits are used, the next payment or voucher is required before attending additional classes.

Workshops & Special Events
• Workshop fees are non‑refundable.
• If Hearts & Hands cancels a workshop, families receive a full credit toward a future workshop.

Release of Liability
By enrolling my child in Hearts & Hands Academy Learning Center, I understand and agree to the following:
• I acknowledge that participation in classes, workshops, and activities involves normal risks associated with movement, hands‑on projects, and group learning.
• I agree to release and hold harmless Hearts & Hands Academy, its instructors, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or demands arising from my child’s participation.
• I understand that Hearts & Hands Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
• I agree to notify Hearts & Hands Academy of any medical conditions, allergies, or accommodations needed for my child.
• In the event of an emergency, I authorize Hearts & Hands Academy staff to seek appropriate medical care for my child. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses.

Hearts & Hands Academy Learning Center occasionally takes photos and short video clips during classes and events to celebrate learning and share our community with families. These may be used on our website, social media, flyers, or internal communications.

By selecting “Yes,” I give Hearts & Hands Academy permission to use photos or videos of my child for promotional or educational purposes. I understand that no names or personal information will be shared without additional consent.

Hearts & Hands Academy is committed to creating a warm, safe, and respectful environment for all students. To support this, we ask families to review the following expectations:
• Students are expected to treat peers, instructors, and materials with kindness and respect.
• Students must follow classroom instructions to ensure safety during hands‑on activities.
• Disruptive, unsafe, or harmful behavior may result in a parent conference or removal from class.
• Parents agree to pick up their child promptly if contacted regarding behavior or safety concerns.
• Hearts & Hands Academy reserves the right to discontinue enrollment if behavior consistently disrupts learning or poses safety risks.

Emergency Medical Release
In the event of an illness, accident, or emergency involving my child, I authorize Hearts & Hands Academy Learning Center staff to take appropriate action, including administering basic first aid and contacting emergency medical services if needed.
I understand that:
• Staff will make every effort to contact me or the listed emergency contact immediately.
• I am responsible for any medical expenses resulting from emergency care.
• Hearts & Hands Academy staff are not medical professionals and will act in good faith to ensure my child’s safety.

By signing this enrollment form, I confirm that all information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that submitting this form enrolls my child in Hearts & Hands Academy Learning Center for the selected classes and programs.
I acknowledge that I have reviewed and agree to the Attendance Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Behavior Expectations, Release of Liability, Media Release (if applicable), and Emergency Medical Release. I understand that these policies are in place to ensure a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all students and families.
I agree to communicate promptly with Hearts & Hands Academy regarding any changes to my child’s health, schedule, or enrollment status. I understand that completing this form begins the enrollment process and that payment or charter approval must be completed before my child attends class.
