Kinfolk House Project Proposals 2026

Kinfolk House invites North Texas creatives — including visual, performing, literary, and time-based artists — to submit a proposal for our 2026 project calendar.

Three creatives will be selected, and each artist’s work will serve as the foundation for one of Kinfolk House’s 2026 collaborative projects. For each project, Kinfolk House will also invite a regional and a national artist to join in creating a rich, multi-voiced conversation rooted in community, culture, and creative practice.

Compensation & Support

• Artist Stipend: $1,000

• Production Support: Kinfolk House covers artwork transport and basic production needs (simple audio/video or projection). Please note: Kinfolk House does not have theatrical lighting or a full stage tech setup.

• Program Supplies: Covered by Kinfolk House

Who Can Apply

Artists and creatives working in any discipline — visual arts, performance art, socially engaged practice, music, literary arts, multimedia installation, etc. For this application, North Texas includes: Tarrant,

Project Proposal (Max 2,000 words) Tell us about the project you’d like to realize at Kinfolk House: What themes, stories, or concepts will you explore? How will your project engage the local neighborhood/community? Why is Kinfolk House the right place for this work? If your work is performance-based, describe any technical or spatial needs. (Kinfolk House has basic audio/video capability but no theatrical lighting or complex stage rigging. You may bring or source your own equipment.) What’s the scope of work to bring this project to life?

Public Program (Max 500 words) Each artist hosts one program with Kinfolk House staff. What type of program (performance, workshop, conversation, demo, story circle, etc.) would you lead? Who is the intended audience? What will participants gain? Will you invite other creatives/collaborators?
