    Grant Application
  • Purpose:

    This is a merit grant that provides funding up to $5,000 for young musicians interested in furthering their skills in either instrument or voice. Funds are paid directly to the program, not individuals. 

     
    Who can apply:

    • Students ages 13 to 22

    • Applicants must have previously received musical instruction

    • Eligible applicants must be at an Advanced Level

     
    Application details:

    This grant application consists of two parts. This application is part one, if selected you'll be invited to complete part two.

    • Deadline: January 22, 2026

    • A video submission 1 minute or longer is required

    • A letter of recommendation must be included

    • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed

     
    Award notifications:

    • Recipients will be notified in mid-April 2026

This will help showcase the talent and dedication of our program applicants to a wider audience and promote the positive impact of our grant and instrument access program.   • Parental consent - as the parent/legal guardian, I hereby give my permission for my child to apply for the Dreamer Instrument Access Grant. I understand that if selected, my child will receive an instrument from Black Violin Foundation Inc. to support their continued musical education.
