  • Library Rules and Regulations

    ·   GENERAL RULES  1.  The library is mainly for research and study. Everyone must be observed SILENCE at all times. 2. Eating, sleeping, smoking, making visual aids, doing industrial work and group problem solving are not allowed inside the library. 3. Silence, Cleanliness and Orderliness must be observed strictly at all times. 4. Chairs must be pushed back against the table after using and must not be transferred from one place to another. 5. Laptops can be used, provided these are solely for research and are not connected to any electrical outlet in the library. 6. Students are advised to attend to their valuables while in the library. 7. All must set their Cellphones in SILENT MODE while in the library. Answering or Making calls should be done outside in the library. 8. Handle books and other materials with care and return them to their proper places after using. 9. General reference books, newspaper and magazines should not be taken out of the library. 10. Your whole heartedly cooperation is needed to make the library services pleasing to everybody and conducive for research and study. 11. Failure to follow any of the rules & regulation may have of curtailment of your library privileges from the institution.  ·  BORROWING OF BOOKS:  1.   No overnight books. Books are only allowed for photocopy, but the borrower must leave his/her school I.D. 2. Borrowing of such books starts at and only at 10:30 in the morning. In the afternoon, borrowing starts and only at 4:00 P.M. Reference books for photocopy will be borrowed for one (1) hour only. A fine of 10.00/hour, until it is returned, will be imposed if borrowing exceeds the indicated duration of borrowing time.  3. Lost or damaged books will be replaced with the same author and title.  ·   DESTROYED BOOKS  ü  Cutting/tearing off of pages from books, magazines and newspaper for any purposes are strictly prohibited. Vandalism somewhere inside and outside the library is also prohibited. Anyone caught and found guilty of the offense shall be subject to penalty in accordance of the college policy.  ·   LOSS OR DAMAGEOF BOOKS:  ü Lost or damaged library material must be reported immediately to the librarian/ library in charge and to be replaced or to be paid within 30 days. After 30 days, charges are computed and forward to the Cashier’s Office upon the consent of the concerned student. Replacement of the same title and issue is preferred. ü  All borrowers are therefore enjoined to take good care of all the materials they have borrowed. 
  • Library Services 

    •  Circulation Service Library materials are borrowed and returned at the circulation desk, which is located near the main entrance. Reserved books, audio-visual materials, periodicals, reference books, and CD’s/DVD’s can be used with in the library.
    • Reference Service Library provides reference and referral service to its users. Queries are answered using all possible sources. If the required information source is not available/ accessible in our Library, the users are referred to other Libraries where the required information may be available.
    • Recommend an Item We welcome faculty, staff, students and other members to recommend any material, which can add value to our library collection. Purchase of recommended items is subject for approval and availability of funds. However, we try our best to honor all recommendations of our valued library members.
    • Current Awareness Service Library members are regularly informed about the recent acquisitions in the library.
    • Inter Library Loan Service is a kind of library service whereby a patron of one library can borrow books, DVD’s, music, etc. and/ or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library. This is a practice between participating libraries who establish agreements with one another to share materials to enhance their collections.
    • Photocopying Service Photocopying facility is available with in the library. Users can get the photocopy of the required information from reference materials (like reference books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals and magazines etc.) on payment. 
    • Orientation and Information Sessions The Library’s orientation and information program extends the role of library in ensuring that users make the most effective use of library resources. The program is designed to educate the faculty members, students and staff in locating printed and electronic knowledge resources to fulfill their information needs. This service is provided on individual and group basis.
    • Audio/ Visual Service Library members can utilize audio-visual resources available in the library. To facilitate the users, necessary equipment has been provided for this purpose. Library staff also extends help to the members in using these resources.
