2026 ART SHOW IMPORTANT DETAILS
DATE: Saturday, April 25, 2026
LOCATION: Warrenton Presbyterian Church (WPC)
Fellowship Hall, 91 Main Street, Warrenton, VA 20186
ENTRANCE: Enter through the glass doors on N. 5th Street
SET-UP: 9:00-10:30AM (Check-in begins promptly at 9AM.)
JUDGING: 10:30-11:45AM
You may enter ONE original piece of art for judging which will take place between 10:30AM-11:45AM. Your piece must be signed, completed within the last two years and be a landscape of Fauquier County. The judging panel will jury the show and select the prize winners. Art pieces marked for judging and/or chosen for 1st/2nd/3rd/Honorable Mention prizes may be moved to a special display location.
EXHIBIT SHOW: 12 – 4PM (Public Viewing & Sales)
You will be assigned an 8’ x 8’ space for exhibiting and selling your art work during the exhibit show. You may bring original pieces of two-dimensional art work in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. We do encourage bringing multiple pieces that match the landscape theme. You are solely responsible for handling the sales of your artwork.
TEARDOWN: 4:00-5:00PM (Teardown is not to begin before 4PM.)
THEME: “Landscapes”. To honor Brooke’s favorite genre, landscape pieces are highly encouraged. The art piece submitted for judging MUST be a landscape of a Fauquier County, Virginia location. We request each artist to include multiple landscapes in their exhibit, yet, the only required landscape piece is the artwork to be judged.
ENTRY FEE: $45.00. Non-refundable. Payment will be processed as part of this entry application.
DONATION: At the event, we request that you donate 10% of your art show sales to Warrenton Presbyterian Church in appreciation for use of their facility.
REQUIRED DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS: You are required to digitally submit both of the following in JPG format, not larger than 1200 pixels or 4.2 MB. Digital files should be named using the following format: Lastname-Firstname-ArtworkTitle
1. Judged Art Piece – Submit an image of your ONE original landscape piece of two-dimensional art work in oil, acrylic, or watercolor with maximum size of 16”x20”, framed, (dimensions do NOT include outside frame dimensions) for judging. The subject of this original art piece MUST be a landscape depicting a location within Fauquier County, Virginia. The piece must be signed by you and created within the last 2 years.
2. Art Work Samples- Submit images of your recent work for curated review (up to 15 images). Your submissions should be a fair representative sample of what you will bring to the Exhibit. Please ensure that every item is church and family friendly.

NOTIFICATION OF ARTIST ACCEPTANCE: Email will be sent no later than April 10, 2026.
SHOW AWARDS: First Place-$125.00 Second Place-$75.00 Third Place- $50.00 Honorable Mention (3) - ribbons
ART SHOW EXHIBIT SPACE: You will be assigned an 8 feet x 8 feet exhibit “booth space”. You are solely responsible for setting up the display and handling all sales. You or your representative will remain with the display throughout the art show. You are required to provide all display materials; NO tables or display stands are provided. However, if you need a chair or electricity or have any other special request, please mention this in the application or send Tinsel Thyme Press an email. We will do our best to help you, but cannot make any guarantees. You are responsible for taking down and removing all items after the show is closed. Please leave the area in the same or better condition than you found it. Remember this is a curated event! This art show is intended to celebrate Richard Norris Brooke’s art and contributions. Additionally, we want to respect his family and the host location. Therefore, we expect that ALL artwork will be appropriate for family viewing and the church environment. On the day of the event, all artwork on display will undergo curated review for compliance. Any incompliant art pieces will need to be removed from display.
CANCELLATION POLICY: In the unlikely event that this Art Show event would be canceled by either Tinsel Thyme Press or WPC, TTP will issue refunds for entry fees.
