NYJC offers means-tested bursaries to cover all or part of the costs of the following:
- Audition travel costs
- Course enrolment fee
- Course travel costs
- If you’re under 16, we can cover the travel costs of a chaperone
NYJC’s bursaries are means-tested, based on gross household income and the number of dependent children. Please refer to the table below to see whether you qualify and the level of support available. For example, where families earn under £28,000 per year, NYJC will cover 100% of fees and/or travel costs, while in the instance of a family earning £40,000, NYJC will cover 25% fees and/or travel costs. In addition, each dependent child reduces the income threshold by £2000. Thus, a household earning £40,000 with four dependent children would qualify for a bursary of 75%, meaning NYJC covers 75% of fees and/or travel costs.
