The nomination period will run from Thursday April 23rd – Thursday May 7th at 4pm Eastern!

Following the nomination period, a campaign period of a minimum of two weeks will occur, running from Thursday, May 7th until Thursday May 21st at 4pm.

Voting on contested positions will then open Thursday May 21st at 4pm and will run for 5 days on SimplyVoting

Election Timeline:

Nomination Period: Thursday, April 23rd – Thursday May 7th at 4pm
Campaign Period: Thursday May 7th - Thursday, May 21st at 4pm
Voting period: Thursday May 21st - May 26th at 4pm

Eligibility:

With the exception of the recording secretary position (which is open to all units), and Unit 3 (see requirements below), you must be a member of the unit you are running for.

Members of the local running to represent U3 on the bargaining team must be active or political members of Units 1, 2, or 3, and must have held a Unit 3 contract in the last 5 years.

Supporter forms:

When running for a bargaing team position, nominees must have the support of two members of the local, specific to their unit (unless running for the position of Bargaining Team Recording Secretary). In the case of a member from Unit 1 or 2 running for Unit 3, they will still require the support from two Unit 3 members.

Upon submission of the nomination form, the supporters will be automatically contacted to endorse the nomination via a pre-populated supporter form. Both supporter forms must be submitted before the deadline in order for the nomination to be considered complete. The form will be disabled at the close of the nomination period.
