A transfer student must follow all rules and regulations of the HISD, including those for student conduct and attendance, and that violation of the District’s rules and regulations may result in revocation of the transfer agreement. The effective date of the revocation will be set in accordance with the written transfer agreement. Transfers shall be granted for one school year at a time.
Considerations for Accepting Transfers

1. Class Size: Pre-K: limited to 15 students, K-4: limited to 22 students, 5 – 8: discretion will be exercised 2. Discipline Record: Students with habitual inappropriate behavior will not be accepted 3. Academic Record: Students who perform significantly below grade level will not be accepted 4. Attendance Record: Students with habitual absences will not be accepted 5. Parental Support for the School Programs
