Spring 2027 Field Trip Request Form

Thank you for expressing interest in bringing your classroom on a field trip to The Rabbit hOle! Please review the Spring 2027 brochure for updated information and program options. If you find that these guidelines do not work for your group but are still interested in visiting The Rabbit hOle, consider exploring our Group Visit options.  

Schools are required to make a deposit to be applied towards your field trip balance. A deposit is not required for Title 1 schools. 

A member of The Rabbit hOle staff will reach out to confirm your visit within 10 business days. Forms must be filled out at least 3 weeks in advance of your anticipated visit date. Filling out the form does not guarantee you a field trip spot.

Program Descriptions:

Exploring in My Garden: This 90-minute Early Childhood Field Trip is for students in Pre-K through 1st grade. It can accommodate up to 36 students and is focused on one exhibit on the museum floor.

Exploring 13 Windows: This 90-minute Early Childhood Field Trip is for students in Pre-K through 1st grade. It can accommodate up to 36 students and is focused on one exhibit on the museum floor.

Building a Community: This 2-hour Tons of Fun Field Trip is for students 1st through 3rd grade. It can accommodate up to 40 students and visits four exhibits on the museum floor.

Many Pieces Make a Whole: This 2-hour Tons of Fun Field Trip is for students 1st through 3rd grade. It can accommodate up to 60 students and visits four exhibits on the museum floor.

Sensory Walk (Lower Elementary): This 90-minute Tons of Fun Field Trip is designed for students that prefer modifications or accommodations. It can accommodate up to 16 students and visits two stops on the museum floor. Modifications include: smaller group size, slower pace, a Rabbit hOle guide for each small group and sensory exploration. 

The Poetry of Nature: This 2-hour Tons of Fun Field Trip is for students 3rd through 6th grade. It can accommodate up to 60 students and visits four exhibits on the museum floor.

Expression of Self: This 90-minute Tons of Fun Field Trip is for students 3rd through 6th grade. It can accommodate up to 60 students and visits four exhibits on the museum floor.

Sensory Walk (Upper Elementary): This 90-minute Tons of Fun Field Trip is designed for students that prefer modifications or accommodations. From Meanwhile to Fortunately: A Comic Adventure: This 2-hour Story Lab Field Trip is for students 4th through 12th grade. It can accommodate up to 36 students and visits two exhibits on the museum floor.

Little Golden Book Remix! Creating New Stories: This 2-hour Story Lab Field Trip is for students 4th through 12th grade. It can accommodate up to 36 students and visits two exhibits on the museum floor.

Making Meaning: Representation Through Language: This 2-hour Print Shop Field Trip is for students 6th through 12th grade. It can accommodate up to 24 students and focuses on how language can be used in picture books as one way to represent diverse communities. 

The Power of Picture Books: Creating A Community: This 2-hour Higher Education Field Trip is for students 9th grade and up. It can accommodate up to 40 students and focuses on Last Stop on Market Street as the featured exhibit. 

The Power of Picture Books: Exploring in My Garden: This 2-hour Higher Education Field Trip is for students 9th grade and up. It can accommodate up to 40 students and focuses on My Garden as the featured exhibit.

Bookstore Shopping Options

A bookstore visit is a valuable experience. When students are able to purchase a book it reconnects their visit to The Rabbit hOle with the larger world of literature.

Independent Shopping: Students browse the entire inventory of the Lucky Rabbit bookstore and select their own books. Please note that all students must have the opportunity to purchase a book. 

Exhibit Book Table: Students choose their own book from a prepared table of Rabbit hOle exhibit books while at The Rabbit hOle on their field trip.

Takeaway Bundle: School purchases a pre-selected book bundle of titles that pair with their field trip program to take back to their school. 

*The Rabbit hOle has limited grant funding available to cover book purchases for students visiting from Title 1 school. This can be applied to the Pre-Selected Exhibit Book Table or the Pre-Selected Takeaway Bundle.*

The Rabbit hOle Policies

• No running in the museum.
• Children under the age of 16 must be with an adult at all times.
• Strollers are not permittede in the museum. 
• Outside food or drink is not permitted in the museum. 
• No smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaporizers. 
• No shoes with skates or wheels. 

Visitors who do not abide by The Rabbit hOle's {Code of Conduct} will be required to leave the museum. 

Please note that with your ticket purchase, you are agreeing that "Each person entering the The Rabbit hOle grants the museum permission to photograph, videotape, record, or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of the person and all accompanying minors, without compensation, for the museum's business and promotional purposes, inluding copying, distribution, and other uses". 

If a teacher, chaperone, or student does not wish to provide photo release authorization, this must be noted with our staff before your visit.
