2026 Madison County Farm Bureau Scholarship
DETAILS

Madison County Farm Bureau is offering $2,000 scholarships to three individuals who exceed expectations of this application. In addition, the Young Leaders will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships. Madison County Farm Bureau’s intentions are to financially assist and develop well-qualified professionals within Illinois agriculture.
ELIGIBILITY

Must be a high school graduate that has applied, intends to apply, or has been accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university or community college. OR Must be a Madison County Farm Bureau Member, spouse of member, or dependent of a member that is enrolled at an accredited Illinois college, university or community college.

NOTE: 2025 recipients are not eligible for award. Priority is given to members and their Dependents.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

In addition to the eligibility guidelines, the following will be considered in selecting recipients:

1. Demonstrated interest in agriculture and/or agri-business.

a. Organization involvement

b. Employment

c. Professional goals

d. Course work

2. Evidence of self help

a. How the student is contributing financially to his/her education

3. Academic Performance

a. Honors

b. Test Scores

c. GPA
TERMS

All scholarship funds will be sent to the university, college, or community college prior to the beginning of each semester. This will be done after Madison County Farm Bureau receives proof of enrollment. The institution will apply these funds toward the student’s tuition and/or room and board. Scholarship recipients are not restricted from pursuing and accepting other forms of financial aid, assistantship, or tuition waiver.
