Terms and conditions
By volunteering and/or competing at a Streetlifting competition, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully by signing this document it indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions and serves as a binding agreement and liability waiver.
1. Eligibility
1.1. You must be at least 18 years of age or have written consent from a parent or legal guardian if under 18. 1.2. You must complete the registration or check-in process as directed by SLA or event organizers. 1.3. You must comply with all instructions from SLA staff, officials, and event organizers.
2. Code of Conduct
2.1. You must demonstrate professionalism, good sportsmanship, and respect towards athletes, spectators, judges, officials, and volunteers. 2.2. Any behaviour deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate may result in removal from the event. 2.3. Streetlifting Australia reserves the right to end a volunteer’s or competitors participation at any time for safety or behavioural reasons.
3. Health and Safety
3.1. You must confirm that you are physically able to perform assigned tasks and do not have medical conditions that may endanger yourself or others. 3.2. You agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by event organizers. 3.3. You must immediately inform staff if you are injured or feel unwell and, if necessary, cease further participation.
4. Assumption of Risk
4.1. You acknowledge that assisting or competing at a sporting events carries inherent risks, including but not limited to competition lifts, lifting or moving equipment, slips, trips, falls, or injuries from proximity to or participation in athletic activity. 4.2. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with their participation as an event volunteer.
5. Liability Waiver
5.1. By signing this form, you agree to release Streetlifting Australia, event organizers, sponsors, venue owners, and any affiliated parties from any liability for injuries, damages, losses, or death sustained while volunteering or competing. 5.2. This waiver includes, but is not limited to, claims of negligence, breach of duty, or breach of contract.
6. Media Release
6.1. You grant permission for Streetlifting Australia to capture and use photographs, videos, and other media of the event, including your likeness, for promotional purposes without compensation. 6.2. You waive any rights to inspect or approve the final media content.
7. Rules and Regulations
7.1 You agree to adhere to all event rules, policies, and reasonable directions from SLA or event officials. 7.2. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
8.1 If you are unable to attend due to personal reasons you must email SLA as soon as possible, no refunds will be permitted. 8.2. If you are unable to attend due to injury a modified refund will be given, 30 days prior to event is a 25% refund and 14 days prior is a 10% refund.
9. Agreement Binding
9.1. By signing this form, you confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. 9.2. This serves as a legally binding electronic signature, acknowledging acceptance of these terms.
