  • Teaching the Write Way is a professional learning opportunity designed to support high-quality writing instruction for students who access the curriculum through the Virginia Essentialized Standards ofLearning (VESOL).

    We will focus on supporting the communication of thoughts & ideas through written composition rather than the motoric task of handwriting.

     Teaching the Write Way will explore: 

    • the developmental stages of writing;
    • assistive technology solutions that provide access to writing;
    • lessons & writing prompts that will engage all learners
