2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon – Team Activate PARTICIPANT WAIVER
In consideration of the UNITED MITOCHONDRIAL DISEASE FOUNDATION (UMDF) permitting me to participate on Team Activate in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, I hereby, agree to:
1) Raise a minimum of $2,200 for United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation by the fundraising deadline established by the organization: October 11, 2026.
a) You understand that your guaranteed race entry is provided in exchange for this fundraising commitment. If the fundraising minimum is not met by the deadline, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation will charge the remaining balance to the payment method on file.
b) If for any reason you are unable to participate in the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, you understand that you are still responsible for fulfilling your fundraising commitment as agreed upon with United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
c) Runner singlets will be provided only to runners who have achieved a $1,500 fundraising minimum by August 7, 2026. Participants who do not meet this requirement by that date will not be eligible to receive a singlet.
2) Use UMDF’s official Chicago Marathon Haku fundraising page to collect donations and maintain regular communication with UMDF for updates and support.
a) All donations raised will directly benefit United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation and are non-refundable.
3) Acknowledge that Charity guaranteed entries cannot be deferred.
4) Acknowledge that registering for the event is a separate expectation from any team paperwork.
