  • INSTRUCTIONS: 

    Please complete the information below to register your student(s) for the Bedford Bus. 

  • BEDFORD BUS INFORMATION: 

    There is limited space available on the Bedford Bus.

    Filling out this form does NOT guarantee your student(s) a place on the bus, however if you have any interest in securing a spot on the bus, you should submit this form as soon as possible. 

    Please note: Requests by current riders will be given priority spaces on the bus through January 1.  On January 2, we will open the remaining spots to new bus riders.

    Eligible Ages: K-12 grade only

    (*3-4 year olds may be considered only if an older sibling also rides the bus)

     FEES:

    The Business Office will contact you to confirm your spot on the Bedford Bus and will add your fees (listed below) to your selected payment plan.
    Early withdrawal from the use of the bus services will require payment of 30% of the remaining bus fees due.

    Please note that the bus runs directly from Timberlake Christian School to the Virginia Furniture Market in the City of Bedford (1052 Independence Blvd, Bedford). The bus does NOT make any stops along the way.

     PICK UP AND DROP OFF TIMES:

    • The bus arrives at Virginia Furniture Market at 7:10am.
    • The bus returns to Virginia Furniture Market at 3:40pm.
    • You will need to arrive for drop off and pick up at least 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled bus arrival times.
  • Note: All emergency contacts and those listed on the authorized pick up list should be listed through your FACTS Family Portal.

  • PARENT AGREEMENT:

    I/We agree/understand

    • to be at the pick-up/drop off location 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.
    • to contact the driver as soon as possible, in the event of an emergency where my child cannot be picked up on time.  (note: Drivers cannot answer the phone while driving the bus route)
    • will be responsible for driving my child to school if I/we are running late.  Drivers will not wait for students past the set departure time.
    • will notify the school office if my child will be absent from school.
    • to send any office communication (paperwork, checks, etc.) with my/our child and not with the driver.
    • that there is limited space available on the bus.
    • there is a $10.00 fee for every 10 minutes, or portion of 10 minutes, that I/we are late in picking up my/our child.  Parents who are habitually late will no longer be allowed to use this service.
    • will be responsible for 30% of the remaining bus fees should we cancel prior to the end of the school year.
    • there is no refund for days that my child does not ride the bus, because there are still costs that are incurred regardless of whether my child is here.
    • that administration reserves the right to suspend riding privileges for a student who fails to adhere to the bus regulations.

    STUDENT AGREEMENT: 

    • I will not eat or drink on the bus (water bottles are allowed).
    • I will speak quietly, no yelling or loud noises.
    • I will remain in my seat for the entire trip.
    • I will be at the bus pick up area no later than 3:10pm for the ride home.
    • I will remove my own items (bag, lunchbox, etc.) from the bus at the end of each trip.
    • I will not leave any trash on the bus.
    • I will respect the other students on the bus and keep my hands to myself.
    • I will be respectful of the bus driver.

  • PARENT PERMISSION/ASSUMPTION OF RISK/PERMISSION TO TREAT: 

    I/We give permission for my/our student to use the Bedford Bus to and/or from Timberlake Christian School. With this permission, I/We understand that we are assuming all risk associated with use of the Bedford Bus. 

    I/We agree that my/our student is of good health and free from any medical condition, physical or mental, which could interfere with my/our student's ability to ride the Bedford Bus.

    I/We understand that in the event of an injury, illness, and/or accident involving my/our student, I/We authorize Timberlake Christian School and its employees to seek medical attention or care or to transport my/our student to a medical facility or hospital. I/We agree that Timberlake Christian School has no obligation to seek or provide such medical care to my/our student. In the event Timberlake Christian School seeks transportation and/or medical care for my/our student, I/We agree to pay all related charges and to hold Timberlake Christian School harmless from all charges. I/We understand that Timberlake Christian School will make every effort to contact me/us prior to seeking treatment for my/our student, but the medical staff will not withhold any of the above treatment if Timberlake Christian School cannot reach me/us.

    In the event that my student brings any equipment or personal property onto the bus, I/We agree that Timberlake Christian School is not responsible for any loss or theft of or damage to, any equipment or personal property that my/our student brings onto the bus. 

    ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE VERIFICATION:

    I certify that the signature below is a representation of my signature, the parent/guardian, as if it were written on paper.  

    PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN CONSENT:

    As the parent and/or legal guardian of the student identified above, I agree that I have carefully read, undestand, and consent to this agreement.
