Disclosure of Email Addresses
There are times when those responsible for organizing events such as field trips, sports days, and other school activities require your email address in order to contact you. This information will not be released to anyone for business or commercial purposes.
Release of Student Photographs
It is a practice in our school to allow school staff and the media to photograph (including the use of video and digital cameras) individuals and groups of students to celebrate achievements and to promote various educational, sports and cultural events taking place in the school. Students' names, photographs and comments may be published in the BC Catholic, local newspapers, yearbook and other news or social media or on the school website.
Seesaw Digital Portfolios
As part of the Ministry Reporting mandate, all teachers must maintain a digital portfolio of their students' work. At times this includes photographs and videos of the students learning and doing different activities. These are part of a student's post, and get shared with their parents only. In some classes, like PE and Music, there are photos and videos of the whole class doing activities. These are shared with all parents in the class as all the students take part. All these photos and videos are only uploaded and shared via Seesaw.
Student-Produced Data Stored on the Internet (Note students can only use their school email accounts to contact others in the @cloverdalecatholicschool.ca domain- which is limited to staff and other students)
Cloverdale Catholic School may choose to host student-produced classroom files and email on the school's hosted internet services (including but not limited to online word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications) which may include Google Apps for Education. These files and emails are not physically hosted within our school networks, and may be stored around the globe in various data centres.
