    At Serving with Grace, our focus is to help underserved children and families by providing them with essential resources and programs.

    Below are a list of volunteer dates and opportunties that you can sign up for. We'll continue to keep this list updated. Please fill out your personal details and sign up for a date that you think works best for you.

    For events, we'll make sure you have any event details prior to arriving (e.g. parking logisitics, setup, arrival times, etc.)

    You just need to arrive on the day of the volunteer opportunity, and we'll provide you additional details when you get there.

  • GRACE'S CLOSET

    Grace's Closet is our family resource store that provides clothing, household items, small appliances, diapers and a food pantry to families all free of charge. Our families come shop at Grace's Closet via an appointment based model.

    We are located in Hollywood at:
    2035 Harding Street, Suite 101, Hollywood, FL 33020

     

    Tasks at Grace's Closet include:

    • Sorting and organizing donations
    • Folding clothes
    • Cleaning
    • Assisting guests
    • Stocking shelves
    • Food pantry organizing
    • Mini-distributions to families (onsite)

     

    Sign up options are below, indicating how many volunteers are needed during that day/time. Please choose a date that you are able to assist.

  • FAMILY EMPOWERMENT EXPO

     

    Serving with Grace is proud to announce our first-ever Family Empowerment Expo, a dynamic community event designed to equip families with the tools, resources, and professional support they need to thrive. 

    We are committed to strengthening families by providing access to essentials, practical tools, trusted professionals, and transformative resources. This expo is a direct extension of that commitment — to empower, educate, and equip our families and community.

     

    The Family Empowerment Expo will bring together trusted professionals across multiple sectors, with a focus on:

    • Health and Wellness
    • Financial Literacy & Planning
    • Education & Development
    • Fitness & Exercise 
    • Housing & Homeownership
    • Legal Services
       

    We are looking for volunteers on this day to assist us with tasks such as:

    • Registration
    • Setup
    • Assisting vendors
    • Assisting families
    • Food distribution
    • Cleanup

    Volunteers shoud arrive by 9:00 am in order to be there before vendors arrive.

  • EASTER BASKET ASSEMBLY & DISTRIBUTION

     

    Sign up to join us as we build fun Easter baskets together.

    We’ll be assembling baskets for our annual Easter basket distribution. The assembly and volunteer event will take place on Saturday, March 21st, filling baskets with toys, candy, and small treats—come lend a hand and be part of the fun! 🐰🎉

    Our actual Easter Basket drive-thru distribution will take place on Saturday, March 28th. Volunteer details for that event will be added soon.

  • BASKETS OF GRACE....FILLED WITH LOVE

    STUDENTS, EARN VOLUNTER HOURS!!!

    This is an at-home service project, where you can build laundry baskets throughout the month of February. These baskets, made with care, filled with essential laundry supplies, will be given to families in need. 

     

    🧺 Loads of Grace — Baskets Full of Love ❤️
    All February long, we’re collecting laundry supplies to build “Loads of Grace” baskets for families served through Grace’s Closet. These baskets help cover real-life essentials so families can focus on what matters most.


    Needed items: Laundry detergent • Bleach • Fabric softener • Dryer sheets • Laundry pods • Laundry basket


    ✅ 3 ways to get involved:
    1. Build a basket: Purchase the listed supplies and create a “Loads of Grace” basket to donate. Students can earn service hours for each basket — a great way to give back! For each basket that is made and donated (with all supplies included), students can earn 10 service hours. We will accept up to 10 baskets per student.

    📅 We’ll be choosing a day in February to distribute these baskets to families at Grace’s Closet.

  • DIAPER DISTRIBUTION

     

    Every 1-2 months, we conduct a diaper distribution as part of our partnership with The Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank. We distribute diapers, wipes, and at times, baby clothes and food to parents. 

    This distribution involves sorting through diapers, organizing them, registering guests, distributing diapers and cleaning up once the event is complete. 

    This event takes place at Grace's Closet, our family resource store in Hollywood: 2035 Harding Street, Suite 101, Hollywood, FL 33020

     

     

  • ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY GIVEAWAY

    Join us for our annual holiday toy giveaway, in partnership with The Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank, where we provide toys and holiday gifts to children in our community. 

    Date: Saturday, December 20th

    Event Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Location: Sunset Presbyterian Church, 3550 Davie Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

    *Volunteers should arrive by 9:30 am 
     

    Tasks include:

    • Assisting with guests
    • Sorting and set up of toys
    • Distributing toys
    • Food distribution
    • Leading craft and activity stations 
    • Line control
    • Cleanup


    Event Details

    • Toy Distribution, Music, Food an Drinks, Crafts and Activities, Bounce House, Pictures with Santa
    • Expectation: 1,500 + chidren
