Coaching Stipend Rules:

WIAA Teams: Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches paid by SPS cannot be paid stipends greater than $500 per season. Assistant coaches not paid by SPS can be paid coaching stipends through booster team funds up to the amount an SPS Assistant Coach is paid. If you are unsure of the payment cap, check with the Athletic Director. Cheer and Dance are treated like club teams.

All Teams: Any individual receiving $2,000 or more for any service (coaching or otherwise) in the 2026 CALENDAR year must also submit a W9 (and will receive a Form 1099 in January for tax purposes).
