    WINTER NON-PERFORMING WORKSHOPS REGISTRATION

    *Try a new class. Meet new friends. Sharpen your skills at the Dance Company's Winter workshops. Basic Tap, Basic Chair Tap Basic Ballet and Basic Musical Theater are being offered this January and February.

    BASIC classes require a minimum of 5 attendees. A refund will be given if the requirement is not met.

    Not a member of the Dance Company Club? No problem, go to the new membership link. Yearly dues are $25.00.

    • Non-member residents may take 2 free classes prior to becoming a member. A resident will be charged $20 to continue the workshop after the 2 free classes. Plus pay the yearly dues. 
    • Current members: $30.00 per workshop.
  • MARINA PHILLIPS

  • Marina Phillips is from Los Angeles, California. She graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, AMDA in 2011 in Musical Theater. Marina teaches at The Rock Center for Dance and Sun City Dance Company, formally at B Sharp School of Dance in Las Vegas, Nevada. In Los Angeles she taught at UCLA, The Gabriella Foundation; Everybody Dance, Free2BeMe; dancers with Down Syndrome, JillyJazz Dance Arts and was the choreographer for The Miracle Project; actors with Autism. In Tennesse she taught at Scenic City Dance and Chattanooga Dance Theatre. She was an adjudicator for such dance competitions as Talent On Parade. Marina specializes in Luigi technique. Marina has performed in such musicals as THE WORLD GOES ROUND, GENETIC EDDY, A CHORUS LINE, IN THE MOOD, WEST SIDE STORY, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, CABARET, PIPPIN, THE SUMMER VARIETY SHOW and The Rockette Summer Intensive. Teaching is her passion, she loves passing on the joy of dance!

  • BASIC TAP 

    Step into rhythm and explore the fundamentals of tap dance in this fun and energetic beginner-friendly class! Designed for those with little to no tap experience.
    Basic steps such as shuffles, flaps, and taps are introduced, along with simple routines that incorporate these elements.
    The instructor breaks down each movement, providing clear demonstrations and personalized feedback to ensure everyone understands the techniques involved.
    Whether you're looking to try something new or build a solid foundation for future tap training, this class is a great place to start.

  • BASIC CHAIR TAP 

    Get ready to tap, clap, and groove—all while seated! This class is perfect for beginners who want to explore the joy of tap dancing in a safe, low-impact way.
    Using a sturdy chair for support, you'll learn basic tap steps and fun choreography to upbeat music.
    It can also bring the joy of dance to people who may have limited mobility, or balance concerns.

  • JASMINE PISAPIA

  • Jasmine Pisapia is an accomplished dance educator, choreographer, and professional performer with 20+ years of experience spanning. This includes: classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and character performance. She is a former Cirque du Soleil artist with extensive stage credits, combined with a strong record of teaching, choreographing, directing, and developing preprofessional programs. Jasmine is passionate about inspiring dancers of all ages to achieve technical excellence while fostering creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love for dance.
    Jasmine is a Master Dance Educator and Pre-Professional Program Supervisor at The Rock Center for Dance – Las Vegas, NV. Prior to that, she was the Ballet Company Director and Marketing Manager at the School of Dance and Music – Hermosa & Redondo Beach, CA
    Finally, her educational credits include a BFA in Dance (New School University, Joffrey Ballet, New York City) and an MBA (Western Governors University, Salt Lake City, UT).

  • BASIC BALLET

    Ballet dancing through the decades is a senior ballet class set to the greates thits of the 50's, 60's, 70's. Ballet is often considered a foundation for many dance styles like jazz, modern and comtemporary. Ballet helps dancers move with precision, grace and control. This fun ballet workshop could the perfect way to prepare for your next dance adventure.

  • JENNA WURTZBERGER

  • Jenna Wurtzberger is both a Dance Educator and Business Owner. As a dynamic and enthusiastic teaching artist with extensive experience in the performing arts, Jenna has focused on educational strategies for a diverse range of age groups, from pre-K to seniors aged 55 and older. She is Dedicated to nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and emotional expression through innovative arts-based programs. Jenna has proven success engaging students in a collaborative learning environment, inspiring personal expression, an fostering community appreciation for the arts.

    Jenna’s educational background includes an MFA in Dance (Temple University,
    Philadelphia, PA), a BFA in Dance (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and a BA in Psychology (University of Nevada, Las Vegas).

    Jenna works at OptumCare in Las Vegas, NV as a Senior Fitness Specialist. She also works at Yoga For Life in Las Vegas, NV as a Yoga Instructor.

  • BASIC MUSICAL THEATER

    Get ready to smile, sway and shine in this beginner friendly musical theater dance workshop! Explore iconic Broadway eras while building confidence, mobility, coordination and creative expression. Whether you've danced before or are stepping into the spotlight for the first time, this workshop provides a supportive and playful enviroment to move your body, boost your brain, and have fun with a community of fellow performers
