    Before you begin, please read the instructions carefully.  In Step 1, you will be asked to create an account.  This will allow you to save your application and return later. Once you submit your application, you cannot make changes. The application deadline to apply for the OIP 2026 is January 30th, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. EST.

    Your application will be assessed based on your response in Step 6 – Application Questions, using criteria that reflect the skills and knowledge that are required for each focus area.

    By proceeding, you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you understand incomplete or misleading responses may affect the outcome of your application.

    Only one application per candidate is accepted. If multiple applications are submitted , only the first submission will be considered and all additional submissions may be rejected.

  • The Ontario Internship Program (OIP) offers extended eligibility for candidates who self-identify as belonging to one or more of the following groups: Indigenous (First Nations, Inuk, or Métis), or persons with disabilities. Additionally, bilingual applicants (English-French) are also considered under extended eligibility. Candidates applying under extended eligibility must have graduated between May 2021 and August 2026. All other candidates must meet the general eligibility criteria, which requires graduation between May 2024 and August 2026. Eligibility Requirements.

    Notice of Collection

    The personal information you provide is necessary for the proper administration of the Ontario Internship Program (OIP). While participation in the OIP recruitment process is voluntary, if you choose to participate, you are required to disclose the requested personal information. This information is being collected and used to assess your qualifications for employment with the Ontario Public Service (OPS), and to support recruitment modernization initiatives and program development.

    The collection of personal information necessary for the proper administration of the OIP recruitment process is authorized under section 32 of the Public Service of Ontario Act, 2006.

    Please do not provide more personal information than what is asked of you. For example, do not include your social insurance number, photograph, or banking information with your application. We strongly encourage you to only provide information specifically requested in the job posting and/or application form.

    The OIP offers extended eligibility options for applicants meeting certain eligibility requirements. These recruitment initiatives support the objectives of the OPS Anti-Racism Policy, the “Accessible by Design”: 2022-25 OPS Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and Ontario’s French Language Services Strategy.

    Personal information collected through the application form will be used in an identifiable format by representatives in the Corporate Talent Programs Branch, Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) to validate your eligibility and for extended eligibility options.

    This information will also be used to administer the enhanced supports offered through the internship placement

    Information collected in the application form will be retained securely by the Corporate Talent Programs Branch, TBS. This information may be reported in a de-identified, aggregate format to designated members of OPS leadership to report on outcomes from the extended eligibility options, support programming, and identify and address systemic employment barriers.
