2026 DIAMOND RASPBERRY SCHOLARSHIP

GENERAL INFORMATION

(FOR AΛΒ MEMBERS ONLY) 

 

The Diamond Raspberry Scholarship was created in 2017 as a continous education scholarship to be awarded only to members of the organization to continue their education on the basis of seeking higher educational achievement and professional development.

The Diamond Raspberry Scholarship is awarded annually up to $1,000, at the discretion of Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority Scholarship Committee.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school in the upcoming academic school year.

All undergraduate applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; and graduates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Must be an active member in good financial standing of Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority Incorporated for a minimum of 1 year.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The scholarship application package includes:

1. Submission of online Scholarship Application.  The online scholarship is available by clicking Next at the bottom of the page.

2. Transcript (from the applicant’s current or last degree-granting institution). Transcripts that have been downloaded, screenshot, or printed and scanned directly from the applicant’s college or university website are acceptable for the submission of the scholarship application.

3. Proof of Enrollment

4. Two Letters of Recommendations

5. Detailed Proposed Educational Plan

6. 3x5 Color Photo (Professional or sorority attire is recommended)

Applications must be post marked between December 12, 2025 - April 5, 2026 (by midnight Central Standard Time.)

NOTE: Carefully review your application for accuracy, and ensure that you complete the entire application before submission. Omission of any part of this application will disqualify your application from consideration.

 

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

Scholarship award recipients will be notified via email no later than May 2, 2025. Scholarship recipients will be announced via our website and social media platforms. Award Certificates will be sent to recipients' mailing address indicated on application.

AWARD GUIDELINES

1. Awards are issued upon confirmation of registration of school, which will be paid one week after start of regular term of the fiscal year for which the aid is granted.  

2. Awards are for tuition and school expenses for ONE school year only. Scholarship proceeds will be sent directly to the applicant's school. 
   
   
3. All scholarship recipients must provide proof of enrollment in the program and proof that you have accepted the offer for which a scholarship is sought before the funds are released. Proof of enrollment must be one of the following: (1) Official transcript; (2) Current semesters class schedule (shows recipients, school name, and term date); (3) Official letter of enrollment issued by school dated for the semester you are enrolled in. 
                                        
4. Recipients will receive a confirmation email that must be completed and submitted to Scholarship & Standards Committee before award will be issued.                                                                                                          
5. Award certificates will be mailed to each recipient's mailing address. Once received, recipients should submit a photograph with the award certificate that will be posted on our sorority website. Photographs should be sent to Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority, Inc Scholarship & Standards Committee, at scholarship@alb2019.org.                                                                               
6. Recipient's may receive financial assistance for no more than two (2) years. If previously applied, applicants must submit new application information. (i.e. new proposed educational plan, new recommendation letters).

List your major goals and educational objectives. Include steps on how you plan to fullfill your goals.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Recommedation letters should include knowledge of applicant, personal traits, and involvement in community service.

Please submit TWO letters of recommendations from the four choices below:

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT:

I hereby declare that all the above statements are true. I’m willing to provide additional information if necessary to be considered for the scholarship award. I understand failure to submit a completed application on or before deadline will disqualify me from consideration. I agree to accept the decision of the National Scholarship and Standards Committee of Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In the event I am selected as a scholarship recipient, Alpha Lambda Beta will send social media release form to use my name, photographs, and biographical information in press releases, etc. announcing and promoting this scholarship program.
