  • Reflecting on the legacy of Dr. Dimitrios Oreopoulos - who championed the Hippocratic ideals of humility, compassion, and respect for human dignity - please write an essay that addresses the following:

    1. What do the “Hippocratic ideals” mean to you personally as you prepare for your career in medicine?
    2. Provide one specific example or experience (past, present or anticipated) in which you would apply or have applied those ideals in your practice of medicine (for example: a clinical encounter, a student experience, community outreach, or Greek-Canadian heritage contribution).
    3. Looking ahead, how will you integrate these ideals into your future role as a physician - particularly within the Greek-Canadian community, if applicable.

Your essay should be no more than 500 words. We are looking for insight, authenticity, and a clear connection between your values and the ideals of humane and ethical care in medicine.
