    Rules & Regulations While Skiing

    1. There is no time limit to your rides each day (except we do limit tricks to 10- & wakeboard to 15 min.) unless safety is being overlooked. Once you are tired you do not accomplish as much.
    2. When you are skiing, if you are getting tired and will only be able to go down the lake and back be sure and signal to the next skier "1" more so that he/she tells the instructor and he/she will signal the next skier can be ready in time.
    3. The next skier must be IN THE WATER and ready to Go BEFORE the boat comes back to the dock to pick you up.
    4. Stay inside the boat wakes during the turns. The islands and banks are covered with rocks that you could hit if you swing wide or move to the inside of the boat’s wake. If you follow the prop wash during the turns you will be fine.
    5. Do not walk up the rope with your hands while skiing or when coming in for a landing. Nor should you put the handle in your elbow. These are both very dangerous and could result in the loss of a finger/hand or injury to your shoulder.
    6. Always signal if you are okay when you fall by raising your hands over your head.
    7. No dock landings - release the rope early enough to be able to sink into the water and then swim in. Ski Or ride back to the dock - don't ride back in the boat.
    8. Be sure and pace yourself during the first few days especially. Try to finish up Monday afternoon wishing you could ski a few more times.
    9. Protect your hands. If they begin to get sore, be sure to tape them up, wear two pair of gloves, or wear power pulls.
    10. Know your hands signals. When the instructor signals for you to pull out to the side of the boat be sure to hold on to the handle.
    11. Do not leave skis and equipment out on the starting docks or in the sun. Also at the end of the day, be sure and put your equipment away.
    12. No horseplay on the starting dock or boat launches at any time. No skiing while under the influence.
    13. If you are sharing skis with another student, be sure there is at least one skier between the two of you so that you will have time to get your equipment back and be ready and in the water before your turn comes up.
