The Texas Summer Institute on Genocide Education Application
The Texas Summer Institute on Genocide Education will be held June 3-6, 2026 in Carrollton, TX, and is accepting applications through February 15. Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Currently be a grades 6-12 Social Studies or English Language Arts educator, instructional coach, or enrolled in a teacher training/preservice program in Texas
- Submit a completed application in its entirety
- Intend to stay in education for the next 5 years
- Will attend all sessions, beginning with a Welcome Reception June 3-noon June 6, 2026
25 qualified teachers will be accepted into the program, and those traveling more than 75 miles from Carrollton, TX will receive lodging; transportation costs will be reimbursed upon completion of the program. Breakfast, lunch, and meals included.

Applicants will be notified of their status by the end of March 2026.
