About the Programs
Early Quantum Career Immersion (EQCI)
This first-of-its-kind program brings together undergraduate students interested in quantum cybersecurity. It provides foundational quantum computing skills with an emphasis on cybersecurity applications through intensive training and practical experience while also building essential research and internship skills such as professionalism, communication, and networking. Students will then be mentored by professionals from academia and a range of quantum companies to contribute to real-world quantum cybersecurity projects. Mentorship may be virtual, hybrid or in-person.
Quantum Summer Institute (QSI)
QSI is a 3-week intensive training program that will equip participants with foundational quantum computing skills and skills in cyber security as they relate to quantum. During the program, students will also receive trainings from industry experts on general skills for internships, including professionalism, resume building and interviewing techniques. While the training sessions are virtual, this program includes unique in-person opportunities at quantum companies to meet leading quantum experts for networking, Q&As, company tours, and more!
Both of these programs empower students to gain valuable skills, collaborate with leading researchers and experts in the field, and see themselves as part of the future of emerging technologies.
Eligibility
You are eligible if you:
- Are enrolled in a school located in the DMV area or your permanent residence is in the DMV region*; and
- Will be physically in the DMV region during the 2026 program dates; and
- Are currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate institution or are a graduating high school senior in 2026; and
- Are authorized to work in the U.S.
Cost
EQCI: FREE for all accepted students + receive a $1600 stipend for completing the program.
QSI: FREE for all accepted students.
