Tuition Details
Playtime Music Studio runs on a flat monthly tuition during the school year (September–May). This structure keeps things simple and predictable for families. Monthly tuition reserves your child’s weekly lesson time and covers far more than the minutes spent at the piano, such as lesson planning, recitals, curriculum development, communication, studio equipment, and ongoing support throughout the week.
During the summer (June–August), lessons continue with per-lesson payments. This gives families and teachers the flexibility to travel, adjust schedules, and choose the weeks that work best for them while still keeping their child’s musical progress moving forward.

First month of lessons: If a student enrols, for example, in the middle of a month, you pay per lesson (see summer tuition) until the start of a new complete month.
Note: Tuition is the same, regardless of lessons attended.
Scheduling: Upon Enrollment, each student gets a reserved lesson time for the full school year. This time remains the same each week unless otherwise arranged with the teacher.
Payment: All students will be charged through our automated payment system on the 6th of each month through My Music Staff. This covers flat monthly tuition plus any additional charges, such as material fees.
We collect a credit/debit card during enrollment and store it securely in the Student Portal (My Music Staff). Your card will be charged automatically each month for your lessons.
During the month your lessons begin, tuition will be charged weekly to account for partial enrollment. Full monthly payments will begin at the start of your next complete month of enrollment.
Receipts for all payments will be available in the Student Portal. You can view your payment history anytime.
Student Absences: If a student must miss a lesson, please notify the teacher as early as possible. Missed lessons by the students are non-refundable. The teacher will try their best to schedule a makeup lesson based on their availability; however, it is not guaranteed.
Teacher cancellation: If the teacher must cancel a scheduled lesson during the school year, one of the following will occur:
1. The lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time within the same month, or
2. If rescheduling is not possible, the student will receive one additional lesson added to the following month at no extra cost.
*In rare cases/emergencies, the studio may issue a refund.
Studio closed days/holidays: The Studio Calendar will be available on the website each year. Lessons that fall on these days cannot be made up or refunded.

Note: To adjust to the unpredictable summer schedule, Playtime Music Studio will be providing weekly tuition.
Scheduling: Lessons must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. However, since lesson spots fill up fast and to guarantee your preferred lesson time, it is recommended to book your lessons well in advance, preferably at the beginning of the summer.
Payment: Tuition is due on the day of the lesson through My Music Staff. Receipts for all payments will be available in the Student Portal, and you can view your payment history anytime.
Student Cancellation: If a student must miss a lesson, please notify the teacher as early as possible. More than 12 hours’ notice: Lessons may be rescheduled at the teacher’s discretion.
Less than 12 hours’ notice or no-show: A $10 cancellation fee applies.
Teacher Cancellation: The teacher will communicate any planned travel or absences before scheduling lessons.
If a lesson has already been booked and the teacher must cancel, a makeup lesson may be offered at the teacher’s discretion, depending on schedule availability.

Payment Method: Upon Enrollment, students must register through My Music Staff, which includes collecting card information for payments. Don't pay directly to the teacher but to the studio under My Music Music Staff ONLY. My Music Staff will send invoices and receipts to families regarding payments.
