  • ALL instruments and singers are welcome. No instrument grades are required - but a basic ability (similar to grade 2-3) at entry level is recommended.

    Everyone except pianists are expected to bring their own instrument. Drummers should bring their own cymbals/breakables. Please bring an amp if you play electric bass or guitar as we won't have any available on site. 

     

    Once you've filled in this sign-up form, you'll receive an email a week in advance of the workshop with further information.

     

    Please note that this application form is for joining a free taster workshop and is not an application to audition for NYJC's summer programme.     Photographs, videos and audio recordings may be taken throughout the programme. Documentary materials will be of group rehearsals, classes and concerts.

    Purpose: Photographs, videos and audio recordings will be taken by National Youth Jazz Collective and used as a record of this NYJC project on websites, promotional campaigns, PR, marketing and funding applications designed to raise the profile of NYJC’s and our partners’ activities. Documentary materials will be owned by NYJC, but may be used by partner organisations (including Arts Council England) for promotional and research reasons.

    NYJC will not disclose any contact details of young people featured in photos, videos and recordings.
