Hutchison/Wheeler Storytelling Award
The $2,000 Hutchison/Wheeler Storytelling Award is offered to aspiring photojournalists who need financial assistance to attend the NPPA News Video Workshop. Photojournalists Sonny Hutchison and Chris Wheeler believe the workshop's mentoring and professional interactions can profoundly impact a photojournalist's life. The NPPA's workshop provides eye-opening experiences, giving photojournalists fresh perspective and instilling confidence and skills in visualizing their stories. A great workshop can change you. And your vision can change the world. The award is for people who might not otherwise be able to attend the NPPA News Video Workshop.
It is open to working professional video photojournalists with at least six months of full-time employment, or an accomplished student with a professional portfolio that includes three stories they have shot and edited.
