Sign up to be a Winter Tree Tender. Join us for a Tree Tender training session on 12/6 or 12/13.

This winter, FOPOS Tree Tenders will independently monitor native trees and shrubs throughout the Preserve. Tasks may include using hand pruners to remove invasive vines from protective cages around native trees and shrubs. Adult volunteers may work on their own; minors must work with a partner and check in before and after their shift.

Help out with the TRAIL crew as we install new trail markers along the trails at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. We are looking for 3-5 volunteers who are comfortable working with a hammer and able to reach high up on trees to install these trail markers. Sign up for a session on:
