We are accepting applications for Fashion is ART 2026. This is not a runway show, this is a fashion exhibit with live models. We are planning to showcase up to 35 total looks and will be accepting applications until all spots are filled.1

For Fashion is ART, designers can submit multiple looks, but only 3 looks per designer will be accepted. Desingers must submit an application for each individual looks. Each look will be reviewed for participation based on this application so please provide us with all the information listed below to the best of your abilities.

If selected, designers will pay an entrance fee per look of $225. The designers fees cover the cost of their model for the look, cost of hair and makeup their model, event photographers, & FDNW staff. The fee includes show entry for 1 look, event photos (event photos and 2 in-studio photos), and digital copies of artwork created based on your look.

For Fashion is ART, we are looking for bigger and bolder looks to be showcased for this event. We encourage designers to explore the artistic side of fashion. These images are just examples and inspiration. Please feel free to check out our Fashion is ART Mood Board.

Please include your links to your website and social media as we use it all in the evaluation of your application. 

Please submit the following items for review.

1. Sketch of design proposal for Fashion is ART, full sketch in full detail.

2. Mood Board/Inspiration Board

3. Provide 2-3 Photos of past garments you have created, showcasing your design craftmanship. This will give us an idea if you can execute the design sketch for your design porpoal.

4. Please descript the garment/look, where you have your got your inspiration, information on the materials you plan on using as well as the process of the garment.

5. Please explain why this design proposal would showcase fashion as an artform.
