A Liberatory, Queer-Led Space for Clinicians to Grow, Grieve, and Be Held
Whether you are a new clinician finding your footing or a seasoned practitioner navigating the weight of this work, you deserve a space that centers your humanity—not just your professional identity.
The 2026 Mentorship Pod is a 4-month, small-group experience designed to support the parts of you that are navigating grief, burnout, identity, and the evolving landscape of private practice. Together, we will explore how to stay rooted in integrity, liberation, and community while doing work that demands so much of our hearts.
This pod is LGBTQIA-led, neuroexpansive-led, and intentionally crafted to be welcoming to all mental health professionals committed to decolonizing their work and tending to their own systems.
Why a Mentorship Pod?
A Ritual of Community
The 4-month commitment allows us to begin a ritual of community and the practice of being witnessed—with the option of continuing long-term. This isn't a quick fix or a one-time gathering. It's an invitation into sustained connection, where trust deepens over time and you are held through the seasons of your work and life.
Intimacy & Space for All Voices
With a maximum of 8 participants, this small group creates intimacy and ensures that all voices are heard. There is room for you to connect at your capacity—whether that means speaking often or witnessing quietly.
Support Through Change, Not Just Crisis
Meeting monthly provides support through change, difficulty, and the slower unfolding of your journey—not just a focus on immediate needs. This is a space to tend to what's emerging, what's felt, and what's calling you, even when it doesn't feel urgent.
How Mentorship Is Different
Mentorship Centers Your Full Humanity
Unlike supervision (which focuses on your clinical skills) and consultation (which addresses specific cases or models), mentorship honors the whole person—your grief, purpose, values, creative expression, and sustainability. You are not just the clinician, healer, or fixer. You are a full human being navigating sacred, demanding work.
Integrating the Personal and Professional
This space integrates personal and professional healing in ways therapy (too personal) and supervision (too clinical) may not. We explore how your identity—queer, neuroexpansive, cultural—shapes and is shaped by your clinical work. Your lived experience is not separate from your practice; it is central to it.
What We Will Explore Together
Over four 90-minute monthly sessions, we will:
Tend to grief and burnout in the healing professions, understanding the parts carrying exhaustion, loneliness, overwork, or overwhelm and how to care for them with compassion and intuition.
Explore decolonizing the work we do by examining liberatory, anti-oppressive frameworks that honor ancestral wisdom, community care, and embodied ways of knowing—explicitly centering the Black and BIPOC spectrum of individual experiences, creating space for ancestral wisdom, feminist knowledge, and embodied knowing.
Discuss private practice, career, and business sustainability with honest conversations about money, boundaries, clinical identity, and the choices that keep your practice aligned with your values. We offer practical guidance alongside support for creative expansion—workshops, writing, speaking, and community offerings so your work reaches the people it is meant for.
Support each other as clinicians—not just receiving from me. This removes the hierarchy present in therapy, supervision, and consultation. We model community care rather than individualistic professional advancement. Together, we normalize shared struggles: burnout, imposter syndrome, practice challenges, and the tender parts of us that carry the weight of this work.
Each session includes community care, Q&A, and resource sharing, creating opportunities for ongoing connection.
