The SSR Heritage Honor is designed to recognize a senior internationally recognized member of SSR who is retired (living) or deceased, and who has left a legacy of research, leadership, and impact in the field of Reproductive Sciences.
To support your nomination, please consider the following questions and articulate why you think your nominee is deserving:
1. How did the nominee’s research break new ground and/or lead to subsequent advances in the field of reproductive science, and/or health (in humans or other species)? What is the ongoing impact of their work?
2. How did the nominee set a lasting example for exemplary mentorship of and collaboration with the next generation(s) of reproductive biologists/practitioners?
3. How has the nominees’ work in reproductive science been applied in or affected public health policy, industry practice, animal production, wildlife management/conservation policy, and/or medical practice?
4. How has the nominee helped SSR and its members to carry out SSR’s Mission, which is to “advance the science of reproduction, fertility and development for the benefit of humans and animals” and achieve its Vision of “a sustainable world through the science of reproduction, fertility and development”? This could take the form of organizational development, leadership of SSR or initiation of new SSR projects; and/or financial support of SSR programs and projects.
Nominations will be accepted until January 15, 2026.
