2026 MN + WI Conference Presenter Proposal

We are seeking presenters for the Growing Minds Conference hosted by Minnesota and Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Organizations on July 27- 28, 2026. Presenters will share information, lead experiences, and connect with attendees during 50-minute breakout sessions or 20-minute mini-sessions. The sessions and mini-sessions will occur on July 28 from 9:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. This conference will be held at St. Paul College (235 Marshall Ave, St. Paul, MN 55102). K-12 teachers, administrators, informal educators and anyone interested in using agriculture as a context for learning are encouraged to attend!

The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation will provide one complimentary conference registration per breakout session.

Ideas for workshop proposal themes include:

Exploring life science using agricultural plants, animals, and insects.
Investigating earth and environmental science through natural resource conservation (soil health, water quality, etc.) on farms and agricultural sites.
Developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening (Language Arts) skills with agriculture-themed books, videos, field trips, and agriculture themed events.
Digging into student growing experiences (school gardens, hydroponics, aquaponics, etc.) with cross-curricular applications (science, social studies, STEM, language arts, health/nutrition).
Exploring culture, history, and geography using food and agriculture.
Using agriculture to support Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
