Thank you for your interest in the UHP Discover Program!

As a reminder, UHP Discover is a signature pre-approved honors experience that engages UHP students in full-time summer research with UC faculty mentors in non-STEMM disciplines. Students wishing to be considered must submit this application no later than 11:59pm (EST) on Sunday, March 1st, 2026. The information provided in the application will be reviewed by participating faculty mentors who will review and then coordinate with student applicants to schedule interviews. Faculty will then make their selections of their student summer researcher mentee during the matching window.

The list of available projects has been embedded in this form and can be found on the UHP Discover 2026 Projects website. Students are permitted to submit an individual application for up to eight (8) research projects but are strongly encouraged to only apply for projects they are truly interested in pursuing.

As noted above, faculty mentors will review applications after the student application window closes and connect with applicants to schedule interviews and/or share next steps within the March 2nd through March 13th window. The faculty/student matching process will officially conclude by Friday, March 13th, 2026.
