Looking for an opportunity to sharpen your prescribed fire skills? We invite you to participate in the Southern Missouri TREX, where putting good fire on the ground will be just as important as providing quality training opportunities for participants.
Directions:
Before filling out this nomination form, please have a conversation with your supervisor and/or training officer about this event and make sure they support your nomination. Also, please inquire if there is a possibility of you brining a Type 6 engine, Crew Cab truck, and/or a UTV with water pumper that could be utilized during this event (any vehicles provided will for this event will remain under your control and be operated under your agency or organizations SOPs). If you provide a vehicle, your nomination will receive preference in this process. Please fill out one nomination per person (no group applications please). Then place a hold on your calendar from March 2nd – March 13th (plus travel to and from the event) until you hear back from us at the beginning of January 2026. Please remember that this is a training, and we will not be providing funding or P codes for you to charge your time or travel to. You will need to work with your training officer and/or supervisor to arrange your funding for this training.
