I-Hos Bursary Funding Application
This I-Hos Bursary fund is accessible to Indigenous artists in the region who are seeking funds for professional development. We want to know: Do you want to broaden your skill set or expand your capacity as an artist? What knowledge or skills have you been wanting to access but haven't been able to? (Examples of eligible expenses include: classes, workshops, travel costs for training, software or other digital tools, or studio infrastructure. Examples of expenses we don't fund are: art materials/supplies for your existing art practice, or rent for your home or studio space.) No, I know that I would not want my name communicated through social media, the newsletter or on the I-Hos website. I would want to work with the I-Hos team to preserve my anonymity in any external communications.
Successful bursary recipients will be required to submit updates - 6 months and 12 months after funding is received. Our goal is to invest in artists' development, and we want to know if/how people's practices are strengthening as a result. We will have a wide range of format options available for these updates... written text with images, video recordings, in-person/phone conversations, etc.
