      We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Donor Development Officer to craft compelling narratives that inspire generosity and strengthen donor relationships. This role focuses on content creation and storytelling across multiple platforms to engage donors and communicate the impact of their support.

       

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Content Strategy Alignment: Develop content to support all stages of donor journey including public awareness, engagement, fundraising, retention, and ongoing donor relationship building. Proactively gain insights into content strategy by participating in global practitioner calls and leveraging knowledge of Hong Kong Programme to inform and strengthen content development.
      • Content Writing & Editing: Develop high-quality, persuasive content in Chinese and English for public and donor-facing materials, including websites, welcome packs, appeal & engagement emails, brochures, transcripts, and other digital/print collaterals.
      • Storytelling & Messaging: Understand our individual and mid-value donors' profile, their industries, and motivations to create impactful stories that resonate and align with Save the Children’s mission.
      • Translation & Proofreading: Ensure accuracy and cultural relevance when translating and editing global or local content for bilingual audiences.
      • Project Coordination: Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of all content and materials, maintaining brand consistency and tone.
         

       REQUIREMENTS

      • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in content writing, copywriting, or editorial roles.
      • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field.
      • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
      • Ability to take ownership of projects from concept to delivery while adhering to brand guidelines.
      • Self-motivated, open-minded, and highly responsible.
      • Strong commitment to the mission and values of Save the Children Hong Kong.
      • Immediate availability preferred.
         

       

      APPOINTMENT TERMS

      This is a 1-year contract position and on a part time basis. Contract renewal is subject to organizational needs and performance.
