    D. ACTIVITY RISK CLASSIFICATIONS-
I understand that: horseback riding is classified as RUGGED ADVENTURE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY, and that there are numerous obvious and non-obvious inherent risks always present in such activity despite all safety precautions. According to NEISS (National Electronic Injury Surveillance Systems of United States Consumer Products) horse activities rank 64th among the activities
of people relative to injuries that result in a stay at U.S. hospitals. Related injuries can be severe requiring more hospital days and resulting in more lasting residual effects than injuries on other activities. I/WE further understand that applicant/s may have mounted or ground lessons that may encounter one or more of the following but not limited to: woods, rough terrain, hills, water, jumps, traffic,
    wild animals, and other horses.

    E. NATURE OF STABLE HORSES-
I understand that: INSTRUCTOR follows a rigid safety program. Yet, no horse is a completely safe horse. Horses are 5 to 10 times larger, 20 to 40 times more powerful, and 3 to 4 times faster than a human. If a rider falls from a horse to the ground it will generally be at a distance of from 3.5 to 5.5 feet, and the impact may result in injury to the rider. Horseback riding is the only sport where a
much smaller, weaker predator animal (human) tries to impose its will on another much larger, stronger prey animal with a mind of its
own (horse) and each has a limited understanding of each other. If a horse is frightened or provoked it may divert from its training and
act according to its natural survival instincts which may include, but are not limited to: Stopping short; Changing directions or speed at
will; Shifting its weight; Rearing; Bucking: Kicking; Biting; or Running from danger.

    F. Terms of Payment
In consideration of the payment of a fee and the signing of this Agreement, I the following listed individual, do hereby agree to receive from the
    Instructor a session of camp.
The Student shall pay a fee of $330 per Regular Youth Day Camp session, $275 for Mini Camp, $300 for Short Session Camp or $265 for Weekend Camp sessions, payable as follows: (Note: For signing up for two camp sessions, there is a $15 discount off the 2nd camp fee.)

    2. A $75 non-refundable installment payment must be made by MARCH 15, 2026.
    3. The remaining balance ($180 for Regular Camp, $125 for Mini Camp, $150 for Short Session Camp, $115 for Weekend Camp) is due and payable on the first day of each camp session. If signing up the same camper for two camps, there will be a $15 discount on the second camp.
    4. Full payment is due for cancellations of less than two days prior to session unless the camp is cancelled by Stable.
    5. Missed days of camp that are not due to the fault of Stable, will not be given refunds or makeups.

    G. Instructor Responsibilities
    (1) Instructor shall fulfill the duties in a manner consistent with good and safe basic riding/driving practices and instruction consistent with The
American Horse Show Association, the county of Racine, and in the state of Wisconsin.
    (2) The Student reserves the right on riding or driving style preference if available.

    H. Terms of Termination
The term of the Agreement shall be session to session basis. Either party may terminate Agreement given 3 days written or verbal notice, provided a final accounting by the Instructor is presented and all payments have been made by Student.

    I. Indemnification
Owner/Student agrees to indemnify Trainer/Instructor unless otherwise provided by insurance against all liability or claims, demands, and costs for or arising out of this Agreement unless by the gross negligence of Trainer/Instructor.

  • K. Binding Affect
    (a) The parties hereto agree that this Agreement shall be binding on their respective heirs, estate, successors and assigns.
    (b) Failure of either party to abide by and perform any and all other terms, covenants, conditions, and obligations of this Agreement shall constitute a default and shall, in addition to any other remedies provided by law or in equity, entitled the wronged party to reasonable attorney fees and court costs related to such breach.
    (c) This Agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws of the state of Wisconsin, and in Racine County. Any dispute by the Student shall be litigated in and venue shall be the county in which this facility is physically located. If any
clause, phrase, or word is in conflict with state law, then that single part is null and void.  In accordance with the Wisconsin Law relating to the limitation of civil liability regarding equine activities: “NOTICE: A person who is engaged for the compensation in the rental of equines or equine equipment or tack or in the
instruction of a person in the riding or driving of an equine or in being a passenger upon an equine is not liable for the injury or death of a person involved in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, as defined in section 895.481 (1) (e) of the Wisconsin Statues.” (d) This Agreement contains the final and entire agreement between parties and neither they nor their agents shall be bound by any terms, conditions, or representatives unless amended to this Agreement and initialed by both parties hereto.

Safety First! Please obey all rules for human and horse welfare!

    1. Youth Day Camp hours are 8 am until 12 pm for morning sessions or 1 pm until 5 pm for afternoon sessions. Our camp counselors will arrive at 7 am for morning sessions and campers may arrive as early as 7 am to help with morning chores. Our camp counselors for morning sessions will leave at 12 pm, so please be prompt at 12 pm to pick up your campers. For afternoon sessions, our camp counselors will arrive at 1 pm, so please do not drop off your campers earlier than 1 pm. For afternoon sessions our camp counselors will stay until 6 pm, so campers are welcome to stay and assist with farm chores until 6 pm. We will have a camp counselor on site from 7 am until 12 pm when there is a morning session and from 1 pm to 6 pm when there is an afternoon session. When there are back-to-back camps, the counselor will not be the same counselor in the morning as in the afternoon so we are unable to have campers remain on site in-between camps in most cases. For the safety of our campers, we cannot have campers on site when we do not have a camp counselor on site to supervise them. Please do not drop off your campers until you know there is counselor on site and be sure to pickup your camper promptly when it is time for pickup. Some exceptions may be made for “Yellow” level students who are at least twelve years of age. Please contact our office at horseaholic73@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

  • SFS Youth Day Camp Survey

We are requesting some information for those who are planning to take part in the 2026 SFS Youth Day Camps. There is information we can gather before our 2026 sessions to make things run more efficiently on the first day.

  • SFS YOUTH DAY CAMP CHECK OFF

    1. Before submitting this form, be sure that you have completed the online "Youth Day Camp Registration Form" which is located on our website at www.sunfirestables.com under the “Youth Day Camp” tab. Camps will be assigned based on the online "Youth Day Camp Registration Form".

    2. Be sure that you have made a $75.00 non-refundable deposit for each camp that you wish to sign-up for.

    3. You must turn in a physical copy or submit this electronic copy of the "Youth Day Camp Agreement" by no later than December 10, 2025. These forms can be mailed to Sun Fire Stables, 33822 High Drive, East Troy, WI 53120 or placed in the Jen K/Katie locker in the parlor.  For those who do not have a current copy of the Sun Fire Stables Indemnity Form, Lesson Agreement and Emergency Contact Form on file, you will need to turn in a physical copy of those three forms by the deadline.  We cannot accept electronic submissions of those three legal documents.  They are available on our website under the "Resources" tab.

    4. If you submit your online "Youth Day Camp Registration Form" after December 10th, you have 10 days from the date you submitted your registration to submit your "Youth Day Camp Agreement" and any necessary paperwork such as the  Indemnity Form, Lesson Agreement and Emergency Contact Form.

    5. The online "Youth Day Camp Registration Form" along with a $75.00 non-refundable deposit are required to reserve camp dates. The "Youth Day Camp Agreement" is required to secure camp dates. If you do not submit the "Youth Day Camp Agreement" in on time, the camp date that you reserved will be offered to the next person on the waitlist that has all of their paperwork and deposits turned in.

    6. A non-refundable installment payment of $75.00 is due no later than March 15th, for each camp session you have secured. If the installment payment is not received, the camp session will be forfeited and it will be made available to the next person on the waitlist that has all of their paperwork and deposits turned in. Your initial deposit will not be refunded. Invoices will be sent out late February or early March as a reminder.

    7. All campers MUST have at least two riding lessons completed at least one month prior but no greater than six months prior to the first day of camp. For those who have not taken any lessons at SFS previously, it is important to note that a tour of the farm will need to be scheduled prior to taking any lessons. Be sure to allow
additional time to have this scheduled.
*Previous SFS YDC Campers – Must have at least two lessons within the six-month period prior to their camp start date. These lessons must be completed at least one month before the first day of their scheduled camp start date.
*New SFS YDC Campers - Must have at least two lessons and their tour completed within the six-month period prior to their camp start date. These lessons must be completed at least one month before the first day of their scheduled camp start date. Example, If you sign-up for a camp session that begins on June 1st , we
recommend starting the tour and lesson scheduling process no later than March 15th.  Please plan well in advance. This can’t be stressed enough. The lesson program is extremely full and openings are limited to get these lessons in. This becomes even more difficult starting in April as the weather begins to get
nicer and we have less weekend lessons due to horse shows. If you wait too long to schedule these lessons, your camp session will be forfeited and the deposits are non-refundable. We have the minimum two-lesson requirement for the safety of ALL of our campers. Please note, the lesson schedule is posted on the 15th of each
preceding month. However, only Level Up Riding Academy students are able to sign-up for their lessons at that time. The lesson schedule is open to all non-members on the 20th of each month.
