ISTA MIDDLE SCHOOL FESTIVAL, SHANGHAI

We are delighted to invite your child to express their interest in joining the DBIS ISTA Middle School Festival to Shanghai, which will take place from 12th - 15th March 2026 at Western International School of Shanghai.

To confirm your child’s interest, please complete the JotForm promptly. The form will also collect important medical and security information and parental consent required for participation in the trip.

There are a limited number of spaces on this trip, we will do our best to ensure that those who want to attend can and try to book additional spaces with ISTA, if required. After the registration has closed, you will be emailed to confirm if your child has successfully secured a place. Once it has been confirmed, we request for your first payment to be paid by the schedule below.

ISTA (The International School’s Theatre Association) provides top quality drama experiences at all age levels at international schools around the world.

An ISTA festival is an immersive theatre experience where young people collaborate, create, and perform in an international setting. Rooted in story-based inquiry, it fosters artistic exploration, cultural exchange, and personal growth. Guided by professional artists, participants develop creativity, performance skills, and global perspectives. ISTA festivals celebrate storytelling, empowering students
to express themselves, take creative risks, and embrace collaborative theatre.

I acknowledge that during the trip, participants will be under the supervision of DBIS staff, who will take all reasonable precautions and implement appropriate procedures to ensure student safety and wellbeing. I understand, however, that there may be occasions during the conference when students are not under the immediate supervision of DBIS staff.*

I understand and accept that travel and participation in an ISTA Festival involve inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, accidents, or unforeseen events.*

I acknowledge that my child is expected to adhere to all safety guidelines, codes of conduct, and reasonable instructions issued by DBIS staff. Failure to comply with these expectations may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the conference and/or return travel at the parents’ expense.*
