INTRODUCTION
Mission: Fayette County Farm Bureau Education Foundation, Inc. began in 1996 as a non-profit organization seeking to make a difference in students’ lives and in our local community’s future. Our goal is to identify, through a competitive application and interview process, Fayette County students whose past, present or future includes agricultural activities, and who are likely to make an impact upon our present and future Bluegrass Area. We provide scholarship support to selected individuals for a maximum of four consecutive semesters of full-time vocational/technical institutional studies.
TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP VALUE
The Fayette County Farm Bureau Education Foundation, Inc. will award up to a maximum of $10,000 ($2,500 per semester) to a Fayette County student seeking a two-year vocational/technical degree/certificate from an accredited institution. Scholarship monies can be applied to tuition, housing, books, etc. Payments are made directly to the vocational/technical institution of your choice. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate measurable academic progress toward a two-year vocational/technical degree/certificate of completion from an accredited institution for second year renewal. Scholarship committee decisions regarding award renewal are final.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Each applicant must:
- Be a member of Fayette County Farm Bureau and remain such while the scholarship is in force. If you are not a member, you may become a member prior to your application submission.
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be a part-time, non-traditional, or full-time student.
- Reside in Fayette County at the time of application. If not yet a high school graduate, you must also attend school in Fayette County.
- Upload most recent transcript for all college work attempted or official high school transcript or GED.
- Upload a letter of recommendation.
- Complete the scholarship application, including the short answer section.

- The scholarship committee will make the final determination on all cases concerning the interpretation of these rules. All applications become the property of the Fayette County Farm Bureau Education Foundation, Inc. and will not be returned.
- Fayette County Farm Bureau Education Foundation Inc. scholarship program is open to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin.
